  1. To protect yourself fromelectrical hazards, avoid using damaged outlets or extension cords, and replace them as soon as possible. Ensure that outlets and extension cords do not come into direct contact with water. If you need to make more than one electrical connection, choose to purchase an extension cord with the necessary number of outlets rather than stacking extension cords on top of each other.
  2. To prevent damage to appliances, clean and maintain them regularly, keep them away from sources of heat or moisture, especially in the kitchen and bathroom, and when you have to be away for long periods of time, turn them off whenever possible. When you go on vacation, it is not advisable to leave appliances on standby. To ensure a longer life cycle for your appliances, consult the instruction manual. In case of malfunction, it is best to contact a specialized technician.
  3. Regardingfire risk, it is recommended that you always store flammable products away from heat sources, keep an eye on the stove whenever it is on, and, if you smell gas, quickly close the safety valve and contact a specialized technician. Schedule periodic checks of your home's electrical system to identify any anomalies.
  4. In the caseof water damage risks, such as clogged pipes, it is recommended to use a filter in the kitchen sink and bathroom to prevent dirt, such as food scraps or hair, from accumulating in the pipes. Take the opportunity to clean the pipes with products designed for this purpose;
  5. To avoid damaging furniture during cleaning or moving, check that fixed furniture—screwed and built-in—is securely assembled to prevent falls and damage.
  6. To preventfalls or accidents inside the home, always keep it tidy and free of objects on the floor, including electrical extension cords. Choose to use non-slip mats in the various rooms of the house and take special care with wet floors in the bathroom and kitchen;
  7. If you have agarden, maintain it regularly to reduce the risk of deterioration and damage to shrubs, hedges, trees, outdoor furniture, or other components.
  8. Preventing therisk of theft is also important. For greater security for your home and family, do not open the door of your house or building to strangers, and always lock the door when you are away or inside your home. If you are going on vacation or will be away for a long period of time, inform the security authorities and your neighbors so that they can be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
