Similar to what happens with car insurance, there is now a new Amicable Declaration of Water Damage (DADA), "with the aim of simplifying the reporting of this type of claim in multi-risk contracts and with your insurer."

With the new DPA (Water Damage) system, the settlement of a water claim , even if caused by a neighboring unit, is guaranteed to the injured customer by their own insurer, who will then claim the respective reimbursement from the insurer of the responsible unit.

This new system will contribute to reducing conflict between all stakeholders.

According to APS, “the protocol covers direct material damage suffered by the injured party (excluding expert appraisal costs) up to a value of €1,845, unless, in a specific case, both insurers agree on a higher amount.”
