The supervisor estimates the value to be updated in building insurance capital in the fourth quarter of the year, which is mandatory for compulsory fire insurance, at 10.53%.
The ASF, theregulatory authority,recommends that insured capital in the fire and natural elements branch for buildings be updated by 10.53% in thelast quarter of the yearto cope with inflation in Portugal.
This amount was calculated after the disclosure of the Regulatory Standard published by the supervisor every three months.
We remind you that updating insured capital is mandatory for fire insurance policies, when they are mandatory, and recommended for other types of real estate insurance, such as multi-risk insurance.
We remind you thatupdating the insured capital is the sole responsibility of the policyholder.The insurer cannot, on its own initiative, make this change.
