Last July, Generali signed an agreement to acquire Seguradoras Unidas and AdvanceCare from Apollo Global Management, which is subject to regulatory approval expected in the coming months.
This transaction will enable Generali to optimize its strategic positioning in Portugal, allowing it to capture future growth opportunities, achieve significant synergies through the merger of Generali Portugal and Seguradoras Unidas, and ensure the operational strength of Europ Assistance in the Portuguese market.
This operation is in line with the strategic objectives of the Generali Group, strengthening distribution capacity in the private, professional, and SME segments.
