New rules for car windows
Last Friday, Parliament approved in general terms a bill presented by a political party that ends the obligation to display car insurance stickers on car windows, as well as the fines associated with not displaying them.
At this moment, the civil liability insurance stamp is still mandatory, as the measure still needs to be debated in detail and approved in a final overall vote, before being enacted by the President of the Republic. Only then can it come into force.
The stickers relating to the Single Circulation Tax (IUC) and mandatory inspection are no longer required by law.
For several years, it was mandatory to display three stickers on the car: tax sticker, insurance sticker, and periodic inspection sticker.
