Fidelidade Mundial and Império Bonança merged in 2012 and are now Fidelidade.
The company's history dates back to 1808 with the founding of Bonança. In 1835 the Insurance Company Fidelidade was founded. Over the course of these 175 years, there have been several moments that have marked the activity of the companies behind them: mergers, nationalization and subsequent privatization, expansion into new markets, in short, new strategies. The name Fidelidade Mundial is the result of the merger in 2002 of the insurance companies Fidelidade and Mundial Confiança.
This was followed in 2012 by the merger of Fidelidade Mundial and Império Bonança, giving rise to Fidelidade - Companhia de Seguros, S.A.
