Allianz Home Insurance

In order to insure the walls or the contents of your house or apartment, Allianz, together with R2, gives you the opportunity to sign up for Allianz Home Insurance.

  • Absence of the proportional rule. Indicate the area of your home and Allianz will determine its value. In this case, you don't run the risk of declaring a lower value than the real one, so you never have to pay for part of the damage.

*This rule applies when the insured capital is insufficient, i.e. the value of the loss is greater than the capital indicated in the contract. You can choose a modality with or without deductibles, with Seismic Phenomena and Acts of Vandalism always having deductibles of 5% or 10% of the Insured Capital.

What it doesn't guarantee

What is not included in Allianz Home Insurance?

There are events that are not included in your contract with Allianz Portugal. These include damage caused by leaving taps running or by the natural wear and tear of materials, such as electrical installations or water pipes.

How and when is the value of my house updated?

The value of your home corresponds to the insured capital. This is automatically updated, on the annual renewal date of your contract, according to the index published quarterly by the ASF (Insurance and Pension Funds Authority).

In the case of claim, what should I do?

Whenever an accident guaranteed by the Insurance Contract occurs inside your home, you must:

Report the occurrence of claim as soon as possible, but no later than 8 days, by filling in the relevant report.

In the event of theft or robbery, the event must also be reported to the competent authorities.

You should always bear in mind the obligations laid down in your contract, particularly with regard to the measures to be taken in order to contain the worsening of the damage.

In the case of claim, what part of the costs will I be responsible for (deductible)?

Allianz Casa: Allianz guarantees practically all the payments under claim, so in most situations you won't have to spend any of your money to cover the losses, except for the Seismic Phenomena cover, in which case you'll have to pay part of claim which will be 5% or 10% of the insured capital.

Repair or Replacement of Appliances

Repair and replacement of the following household appliances, up to a maximum of 300 euros:

  • Fridge or freezer;
  • Washing machine and/or dryer;
  • Dishwasher;
  • Glass ceramic and/or induction hobs;
  • Oven and/or microwave;
  • Extractor and/or hood;
  • Electric water heaters and boilers.

Sending a Technician to Repair Household Appliances

Sending a technician to repair the following appliances:

  • Fridge or freezer;
  • Washing machine and/or dryer;
  • Dishwasher;
  • Glass-ceramic plates;
  • Oven and/or microwave;
  • Kitchen hood;
  • Televisions;
  • DVD/Blue-Ray player;
  • DVD/Blue-Ray recorder;
  • Home cinema kit;
  • Hi-Fi equipment.

IT Assistance

This service provides the Customer with:

  • Advice on solving technical problems;
  • Assistance in using computer applications;
  • Configuring applications and equipment;
  • Assistance in accessing and using the internet.

DIY Services

Includes DIY services such as fitting accessories or grouting damaged joints in the bathtub, maximum 1 service/year, 3 hours.

Legal protection

Allianz Portugal undertakes to ensure the defense in civil or criminal proceedings of the Insured Persons for non-malicious facts, in which they are accused of committing an illegality, infraction, misdemeanor and/or crime, related to the use of the insured dwelling, while:

  • Tenant;
  • Owner or Usufructuary;
  • Condominium owner.

Compensation Limit: 1 case/year up to a maximum of 1,250 euros.
